Gasless Trading now in open beta

What is Gasless Trading?

Gasless Trading is a new feature exclusively available on Matcha that allows users to trade on Ethereum without having to pay any gas fees. As of today, we are launching this feature into open beta, so anyone who wants to now has the ability to try it out!

While it may sound impossible to trade in crypto without paying gas fees, we’ve designed a system that allows users to trade without using gas (and without slippage). Gasless Trading is an additional liquidity source that runs in parallel to Matcha’s traditional liquidity aggregation. When you select the option for a Gasless Trade, Matcha returns an individualized and slippage-free price quote from professional market makers. If you like the quote and are ready to make the trade, you simply need to sign the transaction and market makers will submit the transaction to be verified on chain (and they pay the gas!).

What does all this mean for you? You get to trade with zero gas costs, zero slippage, and zero MEV attacks.

1. Connect your wallet to Matcha
2. Navigate to a token pair where Gasless Trading is an option (WETH/USDC, WETH/DAI, WETH/USDT, WBTC/USDC, WBTC/DAI, WBTC/USDT, plus select others)
3. Set the amount you want to trade ($5,000 USD equivalent or more, with some pairs as low as $1,000)
4. Enable the Gasless Trade option, if available
5. Confirm the trade
6. Celebrate 🎉 and figure out what to do with all the ETH/WETH you aren’t spending on gas
