Trade tokens directly to Arbitrum with Cross Chain Swaps on Matcha

Carol Yumi

Trade crypto tokens directly into Arbitrum from another crypto network, without having to worry about native tokens or clunky bridges. Unlock new trading opportunities, wherever they are!

Matcha has enabled cross chain swaps so you can bridge assets across networks in one go, from token to token! Great news for any trader who wants to make the most out of DeFi and find opportunities wherever they are.

Crypto moves fast, and so should you! This tutorial will cover how to use a cross chain swap to bridge directly into Arbitrum, from another chain. Let’s take a look!

How is cross chain different from bridging?

What is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum is a Layer 2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain. It supports smart contract logic while reducing transaction costs. Gas fees are paid using wrapped Ether (WETH) bridged from the Ethereum mainnet or another EVM chain.

Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum help scale Layer 1 Ethereum by running complex computational tasks such as transaction processing and data storage on a second chain with higher throughput, freeing up capacity on the mainnet.

With over $40M in average monthly volume, Arbitrum users make hundreds of trades a day on Matcha! So we’ve built cross chain swaps to make it easier, quicker and cheaper to get your assets on your favorite L2.

What is Matcha?

Matcha is a DEX aggregator, built by leading exchange infrastructure provider 0x. With over 4 million tokens indexed and 100+ DEX liquidity sources, Matcha offers the widest market coverage in the crypto ecosystem, offering Swaps, gasless transactions, Limit Orders and Cross Chain trading.

On Matcha, you will find:

  • 100+ liquidity sources, across 9 networks.
  • 4+ million tokens indexed so you can discover the freshest drops.
  • Two ways to Swap! Take control of all the settings in the Standard mode or use Matcha Auto and let 0x’s powerful APIs protect trades from sandwich attacks and MEV.
  • Limit Orders. This is a great option to set the price you want to trade, with no slippage or gas fee to set up.
  • New: Cross Chain swaps, seamlessly trade directly into Arbitrum from other chains.
