Swap without gas on Optimism

Anthony Allen

If you have tokens on Optimism but no Ethereum for gas, you can still trade thanks to Matcha Auto. MEV protection, gasless swaps and approvals, and faster settlement on OP!

We’ve just rolled out Matcha Auto to Optimism, the fifth network to benefit from token swaps and approvals without gas, as well as cost savings on MEV and better execution!

Swap without gas on Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and Ethereum!

Matcha has over 5 million tokens which you can swap for free, as well as limit orders and cross chain trades. Matcha Auto adds another layer of convenience by making swaps faster, more efficient, and abstracting away the gas cost, for a tiny fee of only 15bps (0.15%) - the same Uniswap charges for a regular trade!

What is Matcha Auto

Matcha Auto sends trades to private market makers offchain, so you get more tokens onchain. Advantages include:

Gas fees are paid upfront by 0x, the backend infrastructure that powers Matcha, as well as Coinbase, Robinhood, and dozens more.

When you receive your tokens, the cost of gas is returned to 0x from the tokens you receive. As Matcha is built by 0x, we deliver you the best value so you don’t need to deal with gas or worry about high fees. In fact, using Matcha Auto could even save you money in the long run.

Save on transaction costs with Matcha Auto

With every onchain transaction, there are ways you can lose money. It’s not malicious contracts or scammers we’re talking about, but the route your trade takes, and other network participants extracting value from inefficiencies in your trades.

Matcha Auto takes care of everything to keep your trades efficient, fast, and cost-effective! Here’s just some of the ways it can save you money:

  • Gas savings: No more wasting gas on stranded tokens!
  • MEV reductions: private mempools keep your transactions safe.
  • Better execution: no slippage and quicker block inclusion gives your trading an edge.
Learn how Matcha Auto enables gasless swaps.

Let Matcha do the work

You probably spend a fair chunk of time poring over charts and looking for new projects to invest in, only to have your profits eaten away by sandwich attackers, slippage and slow execution. Matcha is here to make trading as easy as picking what you want, and not having to worry that you’re losing money to obscure tech or outrageous premiums.

With Matcha Auto, you get the same great prices as standard and can enjoy all the benefits covered above for a fraction of what you’d pay on other platforms.

And now that L2 gas fees have been reduced in the Ethereum Dencun upgrade, you can use Matcha Auto for trades as small as a few cents - try it now and swap that dust for something you actually want!
